This is not medical advice
Fitness Lab is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before you change how you eat — particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, are managing a condition such as diabetes or heart disease, or have a history of disordered eating.
Every figure here is an estimate
None of the numbers in this app are measurements. They come from three sources, and each is approximate in its own way:
- The suggested daily target comes from the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, a population average that is roughly ±10% for any individual. It is a starting point to adjust from, not a figure to hit.
- Nutrition figures for a food you look up are produced by an AI model. It can be wrong, and it is wrong most often on dishes it does not recognise — the app says so when that happens. Check both numbers before you save them.
- Hawker portions differ from stall to stall, so even a correct figure per 100g is approximate once it is on a plate.
Trend and consistency are what this app is built for. Precision is not something it can offer.
